Astrid decided nobody wants to see a Rorona approaching her 30s and so decided to make a Potion of Youth in an attempt to revert Rorona back into a 14 year-old, her 'ideal age' according to Astrid. It worked too well, though, and Rorona deaged even further, into an 8 year-old, physically and mentally, though she still recognizes people she knows (she just doesn't remember anything else other than names).
Anyway, Astrid decides to dump Rorona on Totori and Meruru for babysitting purposes, with the Homs in tow, while she supposedy researches a way to revert the potion's effects.
(Also, it's mentioned the potion's effects are permanent, so it's not a temporary thing. Hence, Rorona spent five years as an 8 year-old, and depending on what ending you get, it's potentially forever!)

• Totori is older in this memory than the last one with her. In the previous memory she would have been about 15-16 at her canon point. In this one she's 19 years old.
• Totori is a teacher now to a pink haired girl named Merurulince Rede Arls, who is the kingdom's princess, apparently- a princess alchemist. Also, Totori's full name is Totooria Helmold, and Rorona's is Rorolina Frixell. We got her nickname already from the last memory she got back, but now we know her full name.
• Astrid should be in her 40s now but looks to be in her 20s. The in-game explanation for this is that Astrid tested the potion on herself first, but even without alchemy, nobody ages realistically in this series
• The Homs are homunculus assistants that Astrid made for Rorona ages ago, though originally she only made one, with the gender depending on Rorona's answer to the question as to if she'd rather have a brother or a sister. They are both named Hom, and refer to Rorona as "Master", and Astrid as "Grand Master"
• ... It's been like twenty years between the last memory and this and Astrid has not changed at all. If you held onto the same hope that Togetic had that maybe she'd redeem herself later on down the line, then i've got a bridge to sell you
